Another relevant factor is the location of the sofa in the property itself. Sofa removals from outside the home requiring minimal handling tend to cost less than sofas removed from inside a property that need to be carried up or down a flight of stairs. The time it took for the owner to find a match with a waste collector or Junklover is shown in the bottom left of the listing pic. The cost of disposal of a sofa (if it cannot be reused) is relatively high compared to its weight and they also take up quite a lot of space in a collector's van. As a result, collector prices for a sofa removal can seem high in comparison to those charged by your local council for a sofa pickup. However, bear in mind that the council service is normally only from the curbside and likely to take at least a few weeks to arrange. Note that a green heart shown on a listing means that the sofa was reused or taken to a site which diverts 100% of the waste from landfill.
